Autumn leaves blew outside the window emitting a mysterious light and strange sounds from a by-gone age. A cryptic puzzle gave clues but what were these sinister going on? Could it be a smugglers or even pirates? Nah, don’t be daft Enid, it’s the press fire to play gang, warmly welcoming John and Bri on a another retronight with lashings of tea and biscuits lol

KICKOFF 2
Every story has a beginning and ours kicked off with a Best-of-10 Penalty Shootout. Bri used every inch of the goal including several in-off-the-crossbar conversions to inch his way past Si, and in a equally close encounter Ste sqeezed past John. The Final went all the way to sudden death, both players maintaing 100% records until Bri skied his #12. Ste still needed to keep his nerve amid unexpectedly long action replays before despatching his deadly dozen. Calmly done mate.

INDY HEAT
Si put his footdown in beating Gaz who coudn’t take advantage of his fortuatous bonus pickups. Bri cruised past John to reach his second final of the night and this time completed the job, beating Si to the finish line and take the Indy Heat title.

OVERDRIVE
Gaz sealed his semi with just too much in the tank for John, and perhaps predictably Time-Trial specialist Si sped past Ste. True to form, the man who eats records for breakfast then took an early lead in the final and, though he closed the gap, Gaz couldn’t stop the unstoppable. Well played Si.

Ste about to break…
Pot Black more like it, judging from the game-losing blacks sunk by Gaz, John and Bri! Avoid this and you’re pretty much on to a winner haha. Steve Davis wasn’t complaining of course as he notched up another title to his collection.

The hour was late but there was more exploring to be done. John and Ste exchanged Body Blows, with John it has to be said , dishing it out, with some impressive joystick work. Meanwhile Gaz and Si clocked up a few just-for-fun games of KO2, before a ye olde footy quiz with Saint and Greavesie. Now that was a blast from the past.
